A series of botched attempts at landing a soulmate based on the stand-up of comedian Melinda Hill.

Melinda Hill asks popular comedians what they wanted to be when they grew up.

Historians and scientists explore myths, legends and mysterious phenomena.

Dangerous Encounters departs from its traditional format of traversing the globe and focuses on powerful, elusive and deadly animals right here in the United States. As he travels across the country, Brady seeks out the help of locals and scientists to locate and study a series of remarkable animals that are often overlooked. But not to worry, Dr. Brady Barr still brings his unique scientific approach to each encounter. Always willing to go the distance, Brady faces his ultimate fear this season -- returning to rodeo clown school and mounting a bucking bull. Applying some of the same techniques he famously used in the past to disguise himself as a hippo and crocodile, Brady enlists the help of a stuffed animal and remote-controlled car to analyze a lethal predator. And even with more than 20 years of experience tracking and studying reptiles, Brady finds himself unprepared for an epic battle with a rogue alligator and calls on a Nat Geo WILD cameraman for help.

On a dark and stormy night Melinda hits the windshield in an auto collision and loses her sight.

Melinda's world is very small. Her dour parents, members of a religious sect, forbid the celebration of birthdays or holidays. Melinda finds solace in small things: a spun silver spider web, her box of treasures, and a stolen afternoon at Silver Lake on her "day of days." As the movie and the year progresses, Melinda experiences ageless comforts and pains. A disgraced famous writer and a waylaid college professor, two exiles in the small Mid-Western town, haunt the edges of her sheltered life. An earthy, warmhearted waitress introduces her to the blues and a fizzy drink called Cola-Cola. She receives her first explorative attention from a boy. Escalating tragedy shatters Melinda's innocence. Devastated, she flees into the night where, by drawing on her tenacious spirit, she ultimately triumphs.

He has sold out numerous UK-wide tours, and now the multi-award-winning comedian Harry Hill puts on a special one-off live show for an audience of celebrity friends.
